Digital payment platform PhonePe has launched micro-apps for Flipkart-owned Myntra, hospitality company chain OYO and bus ticketing platform Abhibus.
The move is part of PhonePe’s plan to set up an open payment ecosystem for businesses and users to connect with each other, and also take their offerings to over 100 million PhonePe users.
For instance, using PhonePe app, users will now be able to book OYO rooms across India, which will provide them a hassle-free experience.
“Our users get to avail the best of services through their PhonePe app without the hassle of installing multiple apps, and enjoy the comfort and sense of security while making payments through PhonePe,” PhonePe in-app platform head Rituraj Rautela said.
Homegrown ecommerce platform Flipkart-owned PhonePe has already introduced similar micro-apps for online bus ticketing platform redBus, cab aggregator Ola Cabs, GoIbibo Hotels and Flights, and online shop for eyeglasses and sunglasses Coolwinks. The launch of new micro-apps is expected to bring more users on PhonePe’s platform.
