Hospitality company OYO has entered its fifth international market with United Arab Emirates (UAE). The company has already expanded its operations to China, Malaysia, Nepal, UK and is further planning to launch in Japan.
OYO has started its operations in UAE with over 1,100 rooms in Dubai, Sharjah and Fujairah with room rates starting with $40.8 (150 Dirhams).
The company is also looking to expand to more than 12,000 rooms, and 150 Hotels in all of the seven Emirates namely Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Ajman,Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain, by 2020.

This expansion, therefore, is in line with our quest to support the country’s hospitality ecosystem and creating infrastructure for asset owners to grow and run successful businesses, all of this while ensuring high standards of quality”, said Manu Midha, Regional Lead, OYO, UAE. OYO will create about 1,000 jobs in UAE.
OYO starts operation at a time when UAE is set to open 75,000 rooms in the country as part of its World Expo 2020.
