So Nitesh, welcome to #eoindia and lets jump straight in…

1) How did you get your idea for this business?

I got the idea to build Indiez while I was doing a solo backpacking trip to Vietnam. I realized that our works bounds us to one physical location which is extremely stupid in this digital age. Given the great amount of connectivity; you can work from anywhere, anytime. The life is so beautiful when it is not redundant, no same office, no same office route. Freedom is essential for a human to live free! Hence, how we work should change. This inspired me to build a new work ecosystem.

2) What was stopping you from becoming an entrepreneur?

Comfort. One the time we get so much comfortable by our surroundings that we resist change. I guess, it only oneself that stops you from taking the leap of faith.

3) What was the reaction from your family when you first decided to start your business?

My family is very entrepreneurial in nature. They supported me to take this step of entrepreneurship.

4) What was your biggest failure in business and what did you learn from it?

There are quite many actually. One that is mentionable is letting go your people. It is hard to let go people when they haven’t done much wrong. I learnt that it is essential to send great amount of thought thinking about the need of that person before hiring.

5) When did you realise that your business was going to be successful?

Form day 1 itself. We are serving a phenomenally big ,market. Organising it will be a game changer.

6) What habits contribute to your success?

Some habits that I follow religiously are:
Avoid checking mails and slack as soon as I wake up. I give myself an hour to plan the day before I check anything.
Meditate – I meditate regularly. This helps me to keep myself calm and focused.

7) If you had to start your business again what would you do differently?

Well just started.

8) What is your favourite inspirational quote?

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover
-Mark Twain

9) Where do you find inspiration?

I have learnt that inspiration is everywhere. You don’t have to look out of yourself to get inspired. It lies inside you! However, Travel refreshes mind and allows some new thoughts to fly by. This can be called as inspiration.

10) What is your favourite book?

There are many! 1. Hooked, 2. Steve Jobs 3. Into the wild

11) What advice would you give to someone starting out?

Just be patient. Have faith that things will work out. If they are not, learn to fail fast.
