Ecommerce major Amazon is going to reinforce its logistics service to overtake homegrown rival, Flipkart, by introducing a set of new features that help deliver products more effectively.
According to reports, Amazon India is now looking to strengthen its logistics capabilities with geotagging and new age technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML).
The Jeff Bezos-led company is planning to map the entire country through geo-tags to create efficiencies in its delivery network. It is further working on a technology to get around the challenge of unstructured addresses in the country.
Amazon will be making use of AI and ML to spot the exact delivery details of the customers. This will help the company in delivering products seamlessly to the right person without any delay.
The move is part of Amazon’s strategy to attract more customers by offering best service to them. The company is also going to introduce its IA-based Alexa Speakers in vernacular languages for Indian customers.
